Deeptech Angels is a leading professional funding and acceleration platform bridging deeptech startups with high net worth clients. We build investor syndicates to deploy seed capital into strong teams and work with them to accelerate their progress towards series A.

We uniquely focus on supporting startups working in deep emerging technologies such as machine learning, deep learning, computer vision, NLP, advanced materials and quantum computing. Although we are sector agnostic we bring rich domain knowledge in health and life sciences where we deliver a full programme of workshops, mentoring and support to startup teams throughout the entire investment lifecycle. Deeptech Angels has built an extensive investor base of over 1,000 sophisticated and high net worth individuals, many with deep domain knowledge.

Our goal is to identify high potential technology companies and accelerate them to Series A by working alongside an expert network of investors.

OUR SERVICE

We help investors to find the best deeptech startup investments

Investors need to have confidence that they are receiving access to the best possible opportunities. We select startups that we believe have a realistic chance of securing Series A investment within a 12 to 18 month timeframe and following thorough due diligence. Our team has a deep understanding of deep technology startups. We have a range of skills ranging from investment banking through to technology and review over 1,000 business plans every year. We know what investors are looking for and can help create an attractive strategy to maximise investment returns.

STARTUP ACQUISITION

We attract the best startups from throughout Europe by working closely with other parts of the eco-system. We talk at international startup conferences, act as judges and mentors on numerous accelerator programmes and partner with angel groups. We also run KQ Labs in conjunction with the Francis Crick Institute.

SUPPORT AND LEARNING

We provide free support to startups through an extensive programme. We also work individually with specific founders to validate their propositions and prepare them for investment.

SELECTION

All startups go through a rigorous vetting process before being introduced to investors. This involves analysis of their business plan and a series of face-to-face meetings. We also carry out background checks before putting startups forward.
